Applications for our 2023 Mentoring Scheme are now open!
The scheme matches aspiring individual members with experienced leaders in the parking sector for a 12-month structured mentoring relationship. It is run by the BPA with learning interventions provided by an external training provider. The focus is on the transition from junior / first-time management / supervisor roles into a leadership position.

Stage 1 - Application
Complete the application form to be a mentor or mentee. Applicants will be required to abide by the Mentoring Code of Conduct. You will need to complete the appropriate form and attend the training session to qualify for the programme. We cannot guarantee that you will be successfully matched as this will depend on the number of applications.
Stage 2 - Matching
Our mentoring advisory panel will meet in November to review the applications and match pairs according to each mentor’s skills/experience and each mentee's needs.
Stage 3 - Training
Mentors will be offered a virtual training session which will take place over two half-days with a professional trainer.
Mentees will be invited to a virtual induction session to help them prepare for their first meeting with their mentor.
Stage 4 – Informal networking event
All pairs will be invited to an informal virtual networking event in early January. For the first group, this was a cook-a-long demonstration.
Stage 5 – Mentoring
After the networking event, all pairs will be asked to arrange their meetings with their matched partner and commence the mentoring process. The official start date for the scheme will be from January 2023.
Stage 6 – Review
We will evaluate the programme with participants and include further training and facilitation from our training provider. We are committed to helping you get the most out of this valuable experience.
Stage 7 - Celebration
We will celebrate the end of the programme in 2023. Further details will be available to participants nearer the time. Mentees who successfully complete the programme will receive a certificate.
